Monster
In a way our lives are entwined
But it keeps getting caught within our own net of misery
Their lives fade and start to dim
It makes it hard, so we can’t see
Making us forget what we truly are
But then the wind answers me…
Monsters.
What’s that I hear?
I hear a voice
I hear a whisper
A voice that mumbled something
Something like…
Monsters
Somehow I’m sure an ocean’s breeze will calm the storm
But only that and nothing more
Walking through the bloodstained halls –
Pushing through these crimson doors
And all I hear is the voice grows louder
It grows angrier
Shaking fear through my bones
And it shouts to me
Monster!
Blinded by the darkness
Confused by the rain
Frightened by the voice
The moaning voice returns again
Monster
Mustering the courage
I clench my fist
And bare my teeth
I shout to the invisible voice
“I may be a monster
That I know
But the very least
I have things to show.
The conquest
The horror
I’ve seen it all
At least I’ve been there
Through it all.”
But I’m a monster.

Do You Catch Your Breath When I Look At You?
Let me be the one
To make it all right
To count the stars tonight
Let me be the one
To share all your smiles and tears
To take away all your fears
Oh please –
Let me be the one
Cause I can tell by the look in your eyes
Just come here and let me blow your mind
But go ahead
Take your sweet, sweet time
Don’t worry, when you finally decide
I'll still be here
No envy or fear
Just waiting by your side
Give me a chance
Because I want to believe
That miracles
Arise from impossibilities

The Stranger
I watched that fateful day
Where you descended from the sky
Onto Earth, but yet so far away
I watched you – with wondering eyes
I saw the sky grow weary
It seemed ready to cry
It cried a curtain around me
And I stood there – for I was dry.
You walked towards me in the pouring rain
I reached out to your hand with sigh
At the border of tears and pain
I took your hand into mine
You were but a stranger to me
Yet I pulled you close, ‘til the rain passed by
The rain and tears kept going steadily
But here we still kept dry.
